BIOSKETCH Dr. Nikolaos Bourbakis (IEEE Fellow, 96) currently is a Distinguished Professor in Informatics & Technology, a Professor (j.a.) of Geriatrics (School of Medicine) and the Director of the Center of Assistive Research Technologies (CART) at Wright State University, OH. He is the founder and President of the Biological & Artificial Intelligence Foundation (BAIF). He pursues research in Assistive Technologies, Applied AI, Robotic Vision, Biometrics, Bioengineering, Cyber, Security, and Distributed Processing funded by USA and European government and industry. He has extensively published in refereed International Journals, book, chapters and Conference Proceedings, and books as an author, co-author or editor. He is the founder and EIC of two International Journals (IJAIT, IJMSTR) and the founder and Chairman of several IEEE International Conferences (ICTAI, BIBE, IISA, etc.). His research work has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards.
